For this year’s Lamar School Athletics Booster Club Drawdown, the silent auction was reintroduced after several years on pause. With a very short timeline, the project was organized and led from concept through event night, bringing fresh creativity and community energy back to this part of the fundraiser.

More than 50 auction items were gathered through outreach to local businesses, alumni, and school supporters, along with several school-centered packages designed to create excitement and strong bidding. Each item was displayed with a custom-designed flyer that helped guests understand the value and purpose behind every donation. The auction area quickly became one of the most engaging parts of the evening.

The effort resulted in over $18,000 raised in silent auction proceeds alone—an incredible addition to the overall event total for Lamar Athletics. It was a rewarding project that blended creativity, collaboration, and relationship-building, and it was especially meaningful to see the community respond so enthusiastically. Plans are already underway to make next year’s auction even better.
